an amount of money is to be divided among A B and C in the ratio 3:5:9 respectively. If the difference between A's share and C's share is three times that of between B's and A's. What was the total amount for distribution?

Let the everyone’s share be

3x, 5x, 9x and 13x for A, B, C and D respectively

9x=3x+2412 …………..i

6x=2412

x=402

Now we can get everyone’s share

A=3x=1206

B=5x=2010

C=9x=3618

D=13x=5226

Total amount of B & D

=2010+5226

=7236

The total amount for distribution is cant be calculated bcoz data is inadequate
