An amount of money is to be divided between P and R in ratio of 2:5:7 respectively if the total of P's and R's share is Rs 800 more than Q's share,what will be P's share in it?

let the commen multiple be 'x'
then P=2x, Q=5x, R=7x

By given condition,
P + R = 800 + Q
2x + 7x = 800 + 5x
9x = 800 + 5x
9x - 5x = 800
4x = 800
x = 800/4
x = 200

but,
P=2x
P=2(200)
P=400
