Given :

  • An amount of Rs. 992 is to be divided among  three people so that Rishi receives twice as  much as Sameer, who receives one fifth as  much as Garima.

To find :

  • How much money should  Garima receive? (in Rs)

Solution :

Let the money received by Garima be Rs. y

∴ Money received by Sameer = Rs. y/5

∴ Money received by Rishi = Rs. 2 * y/5 = Rs. 2y/5

Now atq,

⇒ 2y/5 + y/5 + y = 992

⇒ (2y + y + 5y)/5 = 992

⇒ 8y = 992 * 5

⇒ 8y = 4960

⇒ y = 4960/8

y = Rs. 620

Therefore,

Money received by Garima = Rs. 620

Given

total amount= 992

total people= 3

To find

amount that Garima recived

Solution

let sammer get y rupess

so money that rishi recieve = 2y = z

let garima recive x rupess

sammer = 1/5 x rupess

x + y +z = 992

x+ 1/5x + 2y= 992

x+ 1/5 x+ 2 x (1/5x)= 992

8x/5= 992

8x= 992 x 5

x = 992 x 5/8

x= 620

 \bold \red{∴ Garima  \: recived  \: Rs.  \: 620.}
