Given:

Ratio of amount of money = 4 : 5 : 7

Amount of A and B = Rs. 1000 more than C

Calculation:

Let the amount received by A and B and C be 4x and 5x and 7x respectively

⇒ (4x + 5x) = 1000 + 7x

⇒ 9x = 1000 + 7x

⇒ 2x = 1000

⇒ x = 500

Required amount received by A and B together = (4 × 500 + 5 × 500)

⇒ (2000 + 2500)

⇒ Rs. 4500

∴ Total amount received by A and B = Rs. 4500
