★ Summary of ' Angel in Disguise ' is that mother of Maggie, Kate, and John has died on her threshold of her own door. Many people who hated now became affectionate toward the children. They brought clothes and food to the half-starving children. John was taken by Farmer Jones , Kate taken by Mrs. Ellis and no one willing to take Maggie as she was bed-ridden. But Mr. Joe Thompson, a wheel-wright loved children and he took Maggie to his house. His wife was not happy that why did he brought Maggie to the house as she was vinegar-tempered and she didn't have children in order to play with them. But after few days , Mrs. Thompson loved Maggie and she decided to adopt her and in this way Maggie poroved to be Angel in Thompson's life.
