Let the angle be x then
it's complement will be (90-x)..
now according to question..
(90-x)-20=x
70=2x
therefore x=35°...
Hope this will help u a lot

The measure of angle is 35 degrees and its complement is 55 degrees

Solution:

Let the given angle be "x"

Let y = complement

Given that, An angle is 20° less than its complement

Therefore,

x = y - 20 ------ eqn 1

Sum of two complementary angles is 90 degrees

x + y = 90 ---- eqn 2

Substitute eqn 1 in eqn 2

y - 20 + y = 90

2y = 90 + 20

2y = 110

y = 55

Substitute y = 55 in eqn 1

x = 55 - 20

x = 35

Thus the measure of angle is 35 degrees and its complement is 55 degrees
