We know that Sum of adjacent angles = 180°
Let one angle = X
Let another angle = X + 40
so, X + X + 40 = 180°
2x + 40 = 180°
2x = 180° - 40
2x = 140
X = 140/2
X = 70°
One angle is 70°
Another angle = 70° + 40°
= 110°
Hence , An angle of parallelogram is 110°

Answer:
Given :-
An angle of the parallelogram is 40° more than its adjacent angle
To Find :-
The required angle of a parallelogram
Concept used :-
Sum of adjacent angles = 180°
Solution :-
Let one angle = X
So, another angle be = X + 40
We know that Sum of adjacent angles = 180°
so, X + X + 40 = 180°
️ ➭ 2X + 40 = 180°
️ ➭ 2X = 180° - 40
️ ➭ 2X = 140°
️ ➭ X = 140°/2
️ ➭ X = 70°
️ ➭ One angle is 70°
️ ➭ Another angle = 70° + 40° = 110°
Hence , An angle of parallelogram is 110°

Properties of Parallelogram
If a quadrilateral has a pair of parallel opposite sides, then it’s a special polygon called Parallelogram. The properties of a parallelogram are as follows:
- The opposite sides are parallel and congruent
- The opposite angles are congruent
- The consecutive angles are supplementary
- If anyone of the angles is a right angle, then all the other angles will be the right angle
- The two diagonals bisect each other
- Each diagonal bisects the parallelogram into two congruent triangles
- Sum of square of all the sides of parallelogram is equal to the sum of square of its diagonals. It is also called parallelogram law
