x = measure of the angle
90 - x = complement of the angle

x + 1/6(90 - x) = 40
x + 15 - 1/6 x = 40
5/6 x + 15 = 40
5/6 x = 25
x = 30

LET THE /_ BE X
COMPLEMENT OF X= 90-X
BTQ,
X + 1/6 *(90-X) = 40
X +15-X/6 = 40
X - X/6 = 25
5X= 25* 6
X= 30
