An ant and a lizard were 10.2 m apart.
The lizard spotted the ant moving towards him at 4 cm per second. The lizard moved at 2 m per second towards the ant.
How many centimetres will the ant have moved by the time the lizard catches it?

Answer:

total distance to be travelled=1020cm

lizard and ant travel in 1 second=400+2=402cm

so total time=1020/402=2.54s

distance travelled by ant=speed *time=2*2.54=5.08cm
