Distance= 200cm.
It climbs 20 widths and
20 height which means 5 stairs
So (20+20) for each step and 5 such stairs
so (20+20)*5=200cm.
Displacement=100√2 cm.
In this instead of width and height,
its hypotenuse is taken into calculation.
Hypo. of 20 width nd 20 height =20√2 ⇒ for 1 stair, nd for such 5 stairs (20√2)*5 =100√2cm.

Given: An ant is scramping on the stairs

There are '5' stairs and each stair has a width of 20 cm and a height of 20 cm.

To Find: distance travelled by the art to scramp the stairs

Displacement

Solution:

Distance travelled in one step  =  20 + 20   =  40 cm

Disatnce travelled in 5 steps = 5 * 40= 200 cm  = 2 m

distance travelled by the art to scramp the stairs = 200 cm = 2m

Horizontal Distance = 20 * 5 = 100 cm = 1 m

Vertical Distance = 20 * 4 = 100 cm = 1 m

Displacement = √1² + 1²  =

=  √ 2  m

= 100√ 2 cm

distance travelled by the art to scramp the stairs = 200 cm = 2m

Displacement = √ 2  m = 100√ 2 cm
