Displacement

Solution:

Distance travelled in one step  =  12 + 5   =  17 cm

Disatnce travelled in 4 steps = 4 * 17 = 68 cm

distance travelled by the art to scramp the stairs = 68 cm

Horizontal Distance = 12 * 4 = 48 cm

Vertical Distance = 5 * 4 = 20 cm

Displacement = √48² + 20²

= 4√12² + 5²

= 4(13)

= 52 cm

distance travelled by the art to scramp the stairs = 68 cm

Displacement = 52 cm
