An ant movers 10 cm towards east and turns to the right-hand moves 3 cm. then it moves to its right and moved 3 cm. it then turns to his left and moves 2 cm. finally, it turns to his right and travel's 7 cm. how far and in which direction it is now from the starting point?

Solution:

From origin (Starting Point P) an Ant moves 10 cm towards east ( reached at point Q, shown in figure) and

Turn to right-hand moves 3 cm ( Reached at Point R, shown in figure) then

It moves to its right and moved 3 cm (Reached at point S, Shown in figure)  Then it turns to his left and move 2 cm (Reached at point T, shown in figure)

Finally, it turns to his right and travels 7 cm (Reached at Point U, shown in figure) .

We need to find how far and which direction from starting point.

Distance PU= 5 cm

Direction towards south from starting point
