An ant reaches from A to B staircase in a very short distance.

Note that the staircase has 2 steps

so now assume the distance for 2 steps has 1so for 2 steps so 2+1=3 and 3*2 =6 6/3=2

thus the shortest distance covered by the ant is of 2 km.
