An ant travel a distance of 8 cm from P to q and them move a distance of 6 CM at right angles to PQ find it is resultant displacement

as the 2 distances are at right angle to each other , the resultant displacement will be the length of the hypotenuse (if we draw a diagram according to the question)
so displacement= √(8)^2+(6)^2
√64+36
√100
10cm
