Let R be the final point.
QR = 6cm
Now the displacement = PR
ie, PR is the hypotenuse of right angled triangle PQR.
PR = √(PQ^2 + QR^2)
PR = √(8^2 + 6^2)
PR = √(64+36)
PR = √100 = 10cm
So displacement is 10cm
