An ant travels a distance of 8cm from p and q and moves a distance of 6cm at right angles to pq. find its magnitude of displacement

it will form a right triangle of sides 8cm and 6 cm with hypotenuse equal to displacement
so from Pythagoras theorm
displacement^2 =8x8 + 6x6
displacement = 64 +36 whole root
so the answer is 10 metre
