bcoz if tapetum is unable to function then callose enzyme and sporopollenin is unable to produce due to which

1. no callose enzyme then microspore are unable to separate from their tetrad

2. and if no sporopollenin then pollen grain will unable survive.

3. and also no tapetum no nourishment to microspore.
