An anthete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200m in 40s.What will be the distance covered and the displacement at the end of 2mimute 20 s

Diameter= 200m

radius = 200/2 = 100

one round = perimeter of circle

perimeter = 2πr = 2 * 22/7 * 100 = 4400/7 = 628.5

time taken to complete one round = 40s

2 min and 20s = 140s

rounds completed in 140s = 140/40 = 3.5

total distance covered = 3.5 * 628.5 = 2199.75m

it can be rounded of to 2200m

hence the distance covered is 2200m

As he travelled half of the track after completed three round , he travelled as far as half of the perimeter.

So, the displacement can be given as the diameter

diameter = 200m = displacement

hence the displacement is 200
