Here n= 3

So,

a+(n-1)d=12

a+(3-1)d=12

a+2d=12

a=12-2d -----(1)

last term = 106

Since AP has 50 terms , so last term is 50 .

So, here n=50

a+(n-1)d=106

a+(50-1)d=106

a+49d=106

We have got a = 12-2d from equation 1 .

So, a+49d=106

12-2d+49d=106

12+47d=106

47 d=106-12

47d=94

d=94/47

d=2

a=12-2d

a=12-2×2

a=12-4

a=8

a29=?

here n=29

a+(n-1)d

=8+(29-1)×2

=8+28×2

=8+56

=64 .

So, the 29th term is 64.
