An AP consists of 60 terms of which the 5th term is 50 and last term is 655. find the 31st term

Tn=a+(n-1)d

n=5

T5 = a+(5-1)d

50= a + 4d

a=50-4d ( equation 1)

T60 = a + 59 d

655 -59d = a ( equation 2)

from 1&2

655-59d=50-4d

605=55d

d = 605/55

d =11

therefore a = 6

T31 = a + 30d

= 6 + 330

= 336
