Answer:

The terms of AP are 12 , 18 , 24 , 30 , 36

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the terms of AP be a - 2d , a - d , a , a + d , a + 2d

                                         (a₁)     (a₂)   (a₃)   (a₄)      (a₅)

S₅ =  a - 2d + a - d + a + a + d + a + 2d = 120

⇒ 5a = 120

⇒ a = 24 -----> (1)

Also , a₅ = a₁ + a₂ + 6

⇒ a + 2d = a - 2d + a - d + 6

⇒ 24 + 2d = 2a - 3d + 6 (from (1) )

⇒ 24 + 2d = 48 - 3d + 6

⇒ 24 + 2d = 54 - 3d

⇒ 3d + 2d = 54 - 24

⇒ 5d = 30

⇒ d = 6

a₁ = a - 2d = 24 - 12 = 12

a₂ = a - d = 24 - 6 = 18

a₃ = a = 24

a₄ = a + d = 24 + 6 = 30

a₅ = a + 2d = 24 + 12 = 36

∴ The AP is 12 , 18 , 24 , 30 , 36 .
