The similarities we find in the changes that happened in both cases are-

  • In both cases, the state of matter of wax and apple is not changed.
  • The physical properties of apple and wax are not changed in both cases. There is no chemical reaction that occurred in both cases.

Definition of changes is-

  • Irreversible change- In this type of change, we cannot convert back the substance to its original form. For example- when an apple is cut into pieces, it cannot be reversed.
  • Reversible change- In this type of change, the substance can be converted back into its original form. For example- when different candles are made from molten wax, we can convert them back into wax.
