An apple of mass 100 gm was shot horizontally by an arrow of mass 50 gm. It touches the fruit with a
velocity of 10 ms–1 and penetrates into it and finally detaches the fruit. What is the horizontal velocity of
the fruit just after it gets detached?

The velocity of an object is the rate of change of its position with respect to a frame of reference, and is a function of time. Velocity is equivalent to a specification of an object's speed and direction of motion
