Answer:

X = 25 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

(X+7) * X * 60 =60 x^2 + 420x = 48000

(x+32)(x-25) =0

X=25

Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-7

  • Length of Aquarium = (x + 7) cm

  • Breadth of Aquarium = x cm

  • Height of Aquarium = 60cm

  • Volume of Aquarium = 48000cm³

  • Value of x

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

From the question,

We can say that,

Volume of cuboid = Volume of Aquarium

And,

We know that,

Volume of Cuboid = l × b × h

So,

Volume of Aquarium = l × b × h = 48000 cm³

(x + 7) × (x) × (60) = 48000

(x + 7) × (x) = 48000/60

x² + 7x = 800

x² + 7x - 800 = 0

x² + 32x - 25x - 800 = 0

x(x + 32) - 25 ( x + 32) = 0

(x - 25)(x + 32) = 0

x = 25 or x = -32

Hence,

Length can't be negative.

So,

'x' = 25 cm.

Hence,

Length = ( x + 7) = 25 + 7 = 32cm

Breadth = (x) = 25 cm
