The molarity of the solution is 0.92×10-²M.

Given:-

Mass of CH3CH2OH = 460ppm

Density of the solution = 0.92g/cc

To Find:-

The molarity of the solution.

Solution:-

We can simply find out the molarity of the solution by using these simple steps.

As

Mass of CH3CH2OH (m) = 460g

Density of the solution (d) = 0.92g/cc

Molar mass of CH3CH2OH = 46g

Mass of Solute = 10⁶g

Number of moles of CH3CH2OH = n

n =  \frac{460}{46}

n = 10

Volume of solution = mass / density

v =  \frac{{10}^{6} }{0.92} ml

Now, According to the formula of Molarity

M =  \frac{n \times 1000}{v}

on putting the values,

M =  \frac{10 \times 1000}{ \frac{ {10}^{6} }{0.92} }

M =  \frac{ {10}^{4} \times 0.92 }{ {10}^{6} }

M = 0.92 \times  {10}^{ - 2}

Hence, The molarity of the solution is 0.92×10-²M.
