Given:

  • Molality of the aqueous solution = 1.33 m

To find:

  • Mole fraction of water and methanol.

Answer:

  • Molecular weight of methanol, A = 32
  • Molecular weight of wate, Br = 18
  •     \frac{1}{Mole Fraction of A}  = 1 + \frac{1000}{Molality * Molecular wt of B}

         ⇒ Mole Fraction of Methanol = 0.023

  • Mole Fraction of water = 1 - 0.023 = 0.977
