2M means 2 moles of ethanol in 1L of solution..2 moles means 46*2 i.e. 92g of ethanol. ( Mol.mass of ethanol= 46)

mass of solution= 1000ml * 1.025= 1025g

Mass of water= 1025- 92= 933g

Molality= moles of solute/ mass of water in kg

= 2*1000/ 933= 2.143m
