convert the moles of alcohol into grams

0.259 moles of alcohol @ 60.1 g mol−1 = 15.566 grams of alcohol

find total mass

15.566 grams of alcohol + 13.345 grams of water = 28.911 total grams

the percent by mass of the alcohol in the solution

15.566 grams of alcohol / 28.911 total grams = 53.8 % alcohol by mass

2. .What is the molality of the alcohol? _________ m C3H8O

if rubbing alcohol, has a mole fraction of alcohol equal to 0.259

then it has a mole fractionof 0.741 of water

find mass, using molar mass:

0.741 moles of water @ 18.01 g/mol = 13.345 grams of water

find molality

0.259 moles of alcohol / 0.0013345 kg of water = 19.4 molal
