It does not undergo hydrolysis as there is no reaction between ions of salt NaCl with water.Aqueous solution of NaCl contains equal number of H+ and OH- ions, hence it isneutral in nature. On other hand, sodium carbonate is a salt of weak acid H₂CO₃ and strong base NaOH.

Answer:

since in aqueous solution sodium carbonate will break into sodium and carbonate ions and since sodium carbonate is made up of strong base and weak acid so the sodium ions will be stronger so the solution becomes basic in nature........!!!!!?
