Ammonium chloride is the salt of a strong acid (HCl) and weak base (NH₄OH)

So it is an acidic salt and hence its aqueous solution is acidic

Sodium chloride is the salt of a strong acid (HCl) and a strong base (NaOH)

So it is a neutral salt and hence its aqueous solution is neutral.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Answer:

because ammonium chloride is a salt of weak base and strong acid it undergoes salt hydrolysis to produce an acidic solution wherase sodium chloride salt of strong acid and strong base it not undergoes salt hydrolysis hence its solution reamins natural
