Answer:

25000 & 20000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say dearer horse cost price = D

cheaper one cost = D - 5000

total cost price = D + D -5000

=2D - 5000

He sells the dearer one at 20% gain

Gain = (20/100)D =0.2D

selling Price = D + 0.2D = 1.2D

sells the cheaper one at 30% gain.

= (30/100)(D-5000)

=0.3D - 1500

Selling price = D - 5000 +0.3D - 1500

= 1.3D - 6500

1.2D =1.3D - 6500+ 4000

0.1D = 2500

D = 25000

dearer horse cost = 25000

another horse cost = 20000
