an arc AB of a circle of radius 8 cm subtends an angle of 120° at the centre of the circle . find the area of segment A×B ( take π = 3.14)

IN CIRCLE GIVEN,

r=8cm

Φ=120°

AREA OF SEGMENT APB=AREA OF SECTOR -AREA OF ΔOAB.

AREA OF SECTOR =Φ/360×πr²

=120/360×3.14×(8)²

=3×3.14×64

=602.88cm².
