Ghetto is a locality or area which is populated largely by members of a specific community.

The word originated from Italian “ghetto” which initially was regions where Jews concentrated.

With time the concentrations were diluted by the inclusion of people who came and started living from the ethnicities and another non-ethnic group as well. Sometimes it is also used to denote cities comprising of one single race or nationality people.
