Answer:

36 minutes.

Explanation:

Given,

An aeroplane takes 3600 seconds to cover 500km.

Speed of the aeroplane is give by :-

→ distance/time

→ 500km/3600s

→ 500km/60m

→ 50/6 km per minute.

If the speed increases by 12.5 kmper minute.

New speed :-

→ 50/6 + 12.5

→ (50 + 75.0)/6

→ 125/6 km per minute

If the aeroplane travels 500km with New speed

Time taken :-

→ distance/speed

→ 500 ÷ 125/6

→ 500 × 6/125

→ 24 minute

Time during the first flight was 60 minutes

And new time is 24 minutes.

Clearly in decreasing the time.

Time decreased :-

→ 60 - 24

→ 36 minutes

It will take 36 minutes after increasing the speed by 12.5 km per minute.

Answer:-

Given,

An aeroplane takes 3600 seconds to cover 500 km.

Speed of the aeroplane:-

 \frac{distance}{time}

 \frac{500km}{3600s}

 \frac{500km}{6m}

 \frac{50}{6} km \: per \: minute

If the speed increases by 12.5 km per minutes.

New speed:-

 \frac{50}{6}  + 12.5

 \frac{(50 +75.0) }{6}

 \frac{125}{6} km \: per \: minute

If the aeroplane travels 500 km with new speed,

Time taken:-

 \frac{distance}{speed}

500  \div  \frac{125}{6}

500 \times  \frac{6}{125}

24 \: minutes

  • Time during the first flight = 60 minutes.
  • New time = 24 minutes.

Time decreased:-

60 - 24

36 \: minutes

36 minutes will be taken after the speed is increased by 12.5 om per minute.
