An army contigent of 616 member is to march behind an army bond of 32 member in a porade .the 2 groups are to march in the form of same no.of coloumns in which they can march ?

To find the maximum number of columns,we have to find the HCF of 616 and 32.Be Euclid's dibision algorithm
616 = 32 x 19 + 8
32 = 8 x 4 + 0
So, the HCF of 616 and 32 is 8.
Hence, the maximum number of columns is 8.
