An army truck can carry 6 1 quintals of food material. A soldier is served 3 meals a day. The breakfast for 1 soldier requires 400 grams of food material whereas the other 2 meals require 800 grams of food material each. If there are 65 soldiers, then for how many months can they be served if they have 10 trucks?

Answer:

They can be served for 1 month and 16 days with 20kg left.

Step-by-step explanation:

(Note: I'm pretty sure that it's not "6 1 quintals" and instead 6 quintals even though the same typo was there in my hw sheet so I'm not completely sure)

6 quintals = 600 kg

1 Soldier: 400 + 800 + 800 = 2000g/2 kg per day

65 Soldiers: 2 x 65 = 130 kg per day

Total- 600 x 10 = 6000kg in 10 trucks

6000 ÷ 130 = 46 days and 20 kg left
