The stray dogs must be rounded up and kept in shelters. They should be vaccinated. There are lots of people who loves to keep pet dogs for themselves or for their children. So, they can be given to people who wanted to adopt them even by making payments.

Dogs are called man's best friend. They indeed are because of their faithfulness to their owners. Dogs are used by common people, the police and the army. Dogs are trained as therapy dogs to people suffering from mental health problems like hypertension, anxiety and depression. They are trained as service dogs to help people with different kinds of physical disabilities.

The government must allocate a special fund to take care of the stray dogs in shelters. In the program to rehabilitate stray dogs NGOs and animal rights activists can be involved.
