Solution:

Marked price of article = Rs. 1500

Discount applied = 20%

Discount price = 20% of 1500 = (20/100) * 1500 = Rs. 300

Price of article after discount = Rs. (1500 - 300) = Rs. 1200

Now, if customer wants the article at Rs. 960 then discount price will be,

Additional Discount Price = Price of article after discount - Customer price

Additional Discount Price = Rs. 1200 - Rs. 960 = Rs. 240

To find Additional Discount percentage,

Additional Discount Price = Additional Discount percentage * Price of article after discount

Let Additional Discount be x%

240 = x% * 1200

240 = (x/100) * 1200

240 = 12x

x = 240/12

x = 20%

The additional discount percentage will be 20%
