I would say Western countries think they are superior to weaker, poorer, non-Western countries and use this power to control and influence these countries. They also only seem to be concerned (at least in America) with their own country’s challenges and give plenty of aid to other countries (but few actually visit or care about the issues of poverty/war/disease/famine these countries face.
In America at least people work extremely hard to the point where they ignore family, friends, and leisure time. (Not the same in Europe). American’s don’t work because they necessarily have a love for their job, it’s because they want to make a higher salary. Also, in comparison to non-Western countries family relationships and the concept of “family” is not a priority (high divorce rates, low birth rates, late pregnancies.)
Consumerism, Materialism, and Greed (Bigger amount, size, or price is better than something that is cheaper, homemade, or a family heirloom.) I would say Western countries (especially America where I am from) tend to spend too much money and not save money. We tend to buy much more than what is actually a necessity and we always want the new, better, more expensive, more advanced product and are willing to spend much more money than we actually have on overpriced or a fad or trendy product. Which results in large debt (high personal and credit card debts in America). We also do not seem to care about the impact of constant construction and expansion of developments into areas with endangered or wild animal populations. Americans (not necessarily Europeans) buy and build much larger and more eleborate houses (and multiple houses in different places if they can).
I would say that people tend to always think their opinion is the right one or idea. Western countries seem to be much more divided politically and combative and opinionated in dealing with international, national, or local problems and current issues/events.
