well, it's a good question and also a very big issue to think of, what if I am out of water for 7 long days!! that scares me.water crisis is a serious issue which we certainly will be facing in coming years, rather coming days.

when I say mutual help among the people in this situation, it suggests that the people with like minds and social cause should certainly take the ownership on the issue and allow themselves to help the people with substitute water sources such as tankers and others,which usually is provided by the municipal authority (at least in my native place).if not, it can be done by hiring private tankers to fulfill the scarcity to a small extent.

the next step would be a process of giving a formal letter to the respective authority which overlooks on these issues, and ask them to act upon asap.

educating people about the minimal usage of water would be a back bone in overcoming the water crisis.
