An article was sold for Rs. 26,000 at a discount of 35%. Find the selling price if the discount was 15%.​

let actual price=x

SP=26000

x- 35/100x=26000

x- 7/20x=26000

20x-7x/20=26000

13x/20=26000

X=26000*20/13

X=40000

SP if discount was 15%

=40000-15/100*40000

=40000-6000

=36000

100% =26000×100/65=rs40000of original value

therefore, (100-15)=85% of original value =40000×85/100
