An artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit of radio us 36,000km.calculate speed if it take the 24hr to revolve around the earth?

Time taken by the artificial satellite to revolve around the earth = 24 hours

We need to find the speed of the satellite.

We know,

◘ Speed = Distance/Time

Distance travelled = Circumference of the circular orbit = 2πr.

⇒Distance = 2 × 22/7 × 36000

⇒Distance = 44/7 × 36000

⇒Distance = 226285.714286 km

Now,

Speed = 226285.714286/24

⇒Speed = 9428.57142857 km/h = 9428.6 km/h (approx.)
