Explanation:

Distance covered by the satellite in 24 hours

s=2πr

=2×3.14×42250=265464.58 km

Therefore speed of satellite,

v=

time taken

distance travelled

=

24×60×60

265464.58

=3.07 km s

Given :

radius of circular orbit = 42250 km

Time taken by artificial satellite = 24 hours

To find :

Speed of the artificial satellite..

Solution :

we know that,

circumference = 2πr

distance travelled =

 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 42250

= 265571.429 ≈ 265571 km..

 Speed = \frac{Distance}{time}

by putting values

 = \frac{265571}{24}

 = 11065.4583 ≈ 11066 km/h

\purple\boxed{\therefore \:speed = 11066 \: km/h}
