Answer:

3.27 km s¹

Explanation:

Distance covered by the satellite in 24 hours

s= 2πr

=2*3.14*4200

= 26376 km

Therefore speed of satellite

v= distance travelled/ time taken

= 26376/24*60*60

=3.27 km s¹

Answer:

1099 kmph

Explanation:

Given:

The radius of orbit, r = 4200 km

Time is taken to revolve around the earth, t = 24h

To Find:

Speed =??

Formula Used:

Speed = \sf \dfrac{Circumfrence}{Time \ period}

Procedure:

Speed = \sf \dfrac{2 \pi R}{T}

Speed = \sf \dfrac{2 \frac{22}{7} 420}{24}

Speed = 1,099 kmph

Extra Information:-

What is momentum?

  • The linear momentum of a body is defined as a product of mass and velocity.

  • Odometer is a device used to measure the distance traveled by the vehicle.

  • Distance is directly proportional to time².

  • If a body travels the unequal distance in equal interval of time then it is said to be non-uniform motion.

  • If a body travels the equal distance in equal interval of time then it is said to be in uniform motion.

  • Instantaneous speed is the speed in a particular instance of time.
