an artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit of radius 42250 km calculate its speed if it take 24 hours around to revolve around the earth

Here is the answer.

Radius of the orbit = 42250 km

Time = 24 h

So, for complete revolution, distance covered = 2 π r

= 2 π 42250

= 265464.58 km

Hence, speed = distance/ time

= 265464.58 / 24 km/h

= 11061.02 km/h
