an artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit of radius 42250 km. calculate its speed if it takes 24 hours to revolve around the earth

Radius = 42250 km
Time = 24 hr
Speed = Distance/time
Distance = 2πr = 2 ×22/7 × 42250 = 266530
Speed = 266530÷24 = 11055.4 km/ hr

Given,

Radius (r) = 42250 km

Time (t) = 24 hours

Distance will equal to perimeter of the orbit

= 2πr

= 2π * 42250

Speed of artificial satelite  

= 2π * 42250/24

= 11059 km/h
