An artificial satellite is moving in a circular orbit of radius 42250 km. Calculate its speed
if it takes 24 hours to revolve around the earth.

We have :-

→ Time taken = 24 hours

When a body is moving around a circular path, then it's speed is given by :-

v = 2πr/t

Where :-

v is the speed of the body.

r is radius of the path.

t is time taken.

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ v = (2 × 3.14 × 42250)/24

⇒ v = 265330/24

v = 11055.41 km/h
