Answer:

11,055.41 km/hr

Explanation:

Given :

  • Radius of the circular orbit = 42,250 km

  • Time taken to revolve around the earth = 24 hrs

To find :

  • Speed it takes to revolve around the earth

Speed = distance / time

Distance = 2×3.14×r

Distance = 6.28×42,250

Distance = 2,65,330 kilo metres

The Circumference or the distance covered by the satellite is equal to 2,65,330 kilometres

Time taken = 24 hrs

Speed = 265330/24

Speed = 11,055.41 km/hr

The speed of the satellite is equal to 11,055.41 km/hr

\huge\tt{Answer:-}

\bf{Given:-}

  • Radius  (r) of the circular orbit =  42250 \ km .
  • Time it takes  (t) =  24 \ h

\bf{To \ Find:-}

Speed (v) it takes to revolve around the particle. (Earth)

________________...

We know,

\boxed{\tt{v = \frac{2 \pi r}{t}}}

where,

  • v = Speed
  • 2πr = Distance (of Circular Orbit = Perimeter of the Circ.)
  • t = Time taken.

Putting the values,

 v = \frac{2 \times \pi \times 42250 \ km}{24 \ h}

\implies v = \frac{\cancel{2} \times \pi \times 42250 \ km}{\cancel{24} \ h}

\implies v = \frac{42250 \pi \ km}{12 \ h}

\implies v ≈ 3521 \pi \ km \ {h}^{-1}

\implies v ≈ 3521 \times \frac{22}{7} \ km \ {h}^{-1}

\implies v ≈ 11,066 \ km \ {h}^{-1}  ...(Ans.)
