An artificial weather forecasting satellite is revolving around the earth.
(i) What is the direction of motion of the satellite at any instant
of time?
(ii) Is the motion accelerated? Justify your answer.

I) Some satellites follow the rotation of the Earth and move from west to east. Others have orbits taking them over the poles, and travel north to south or south to north.

ii) Uniform circular motion is accelerated because the velocity changes due to continuous change in the direction of motion. So, even when the body moves ta a constant speed, its velocity is not constant. ... Therefore circular motion is an acceleration motion even when the speed remains constant.
