Answer:

The angle of projection should be 75 degree

Explanation:

As we know that the formula of range for any arbitrary angle is given as

R = \frac{v^2 sin2\theta}{g}

now for maximum range we will have

R_o = \frac{v^2}{g}

so we have

sin(2\theta) = 1

now in order to strike at half of the maximum range we will have

\frac{R_o}{2} = \frac{v^2 sin(2\theta)}{g}

\frac{v^2}{2g} = \frac{v^2 sin(2\theta)}{g}

sin(2\theta) = \frac{1}{2}

2\theta = 30^o OR 150^o

\theta = 75^o
